FAQs

Where can I find parking?

We’re working on a map of the area around the Marriott Hotel with parking marked, which can be found here. Please keep in mind that LTUE is not responsible for ticketed or towed vehicles. Please be sure to read all signs carefully when parking.

What are your rules on school-age children?

We do not allow children between the ages of 18 months and 7 years old at LTUE. Children ages 7 to 11 must have a parent/guardian in the room with them at all times, and children ages 12 to 15 must have a parent/guardian in attendance at LTUE. Attendees ages 16 and up may attend without a parent/guardian. For more details, please see our Child Policy.

What if I want to take my children to the banquet?

Rules for letting children into the event are outlined in the Child Policy.

When does the Call for Panelists go out?

Once we have sent out the Call for Panelists, we will announce it on our front page and various social media websites. This year, the Call should go out by August.

What do I do if I made a mistake on the Call for Panelists?

If you have a minor change to make (i.e. a schedule change, an updated bio), please send an email containing the information you need changed and the changes to our Call representative. If you have a larger change (i.e. forgot to fill out a section) please email the Call representative and request a new Call. If you have a large mistake on your Call, you will have to fill out the Call again.

Should I have gotten notified about panels yet?

All participants who have been invited to LTUE should be notified by the time the schedule is up on the website. If you have not been notified, you can email the Symposium Committee.

How do I become a panelist?

Once the Call for Panelists has gone out, we will post a link to the Call to our website. There you can fill out a personal information form for our records and indicate interest in proposed panels for this year. Please remember that filling out the Call doesn’t guarantee that we will have room for you at this time.

How do I contact Track Heads?

Initial contact should go through our contact form or the general committee e-mail address. Communications will be dispatched to individual track heads from there.

Who counts as a “student”?

If you are currently attending a university or college, you are a student. If you are currently attending elementary school, middle school/junior high school, or high school, you are a student. If you attend an alternative school, charter school, or are home schooled, you are a student. In order to get the student price, please produce a current Student ID. If your school does not issue Student IDs, we will also accept a current school transcript or class schedule.
