Volunteer

LTUE is an all-volunteer organization. We really do need (and would love to have) your help. Whether you can offer just one hour, or many hours, you are encouraged to join us. We have a variety of fun and exciting things that you can do, no experience necessary.

Each year, our crew of Event Volunteers help run the daily operations of our three-day symposium. These volunteers are the backbone of each event; see the Symposium Event Volunteers section for details.

You can also join our Symposium Planning Committee to help us organize future events. The committee consists of content programming track heads, marketing and communications specialists, special event designers, and more, who meet throughout the year to craft the next symposium; see the Symposium Planning Committee and Current Needs sections for details.

Symposium Event Volunteers

Each year, LTUE’s volunteer crew helps make the symposium the Committee has designed into a reality, delivering successful events year after year. These volunteers help with our events’ physical operation, performing duties such as panelist and attendee registration, customer service, record-keeping, and more.

The symposium is a three day event. By volunteering for a given number of hours, volunteers can earn day passes or symposium memberships that they can use themselves or share with a friend.

Please email us at  volunteers@ltue.net if you have any questions about volunteering for LTUE.

Symposium Planning Committee

Committee members specialize in a wide variety of roles to address LTUE’s many dimensions, from designing programming to operating the vendors’ room. A list of the committee’s open positions can be found in the Current Needs section below, but we are always accepting new members to assist with any role.

The committee meets regularly on Discord throughout the year. The symposium is held in February of each year, but interested volunteers are welcome to join anytime throughout the year.

If you are interested in working with the LTUE Symposium Committee, please email us at contact@ltue.net.

Current Needs

YouTube Coordinator
We’d love to have someone update YouTube titles/descriptions and inform panelists via Twitter and Email when a video featuring them has been published.

Sponsorships Coordinator
Sponsors, and the extra funds they provide, allow LTUE to have all kinds of wonderful things we can only imagine right now (Maybe even allows us to afford badge lanyards? Hey, we can dream, right?). A Sponsorship Coordinator would talk with current and potential sponsors and negotiate on behalf of the symposium.

Online Community Engagement
LTUE needs social media coordinators to wrangle our various channels/platforms and help us grow our audience with consistent, engaging, relevant, and smart content.

Marketing & Promotions Team
LTUE would benefit from volunteers with catchy brains who can help us introduce LTUE to the wider world, attracting new audiences, guest presenters, and opportunities for our attendees while retaining our core audience.

If you can volunteer for any of these needs, please fill out our Contact Form.
