These principles are important for Directors and Writers who want to grab the hearts and minds of your audiences. They are the indispensable to keep eyeballs glued to the screen and the page.
Class Location: Cedar Conference Room, Provo Marriott
*This is for novelists, screenwriters, and directors. The principles are universal even though the application of the principles between screenplays and prose are different.
Join writer and director Robert Hatch as he teaches 15 (and more!) crucial storytelling principles used in filmmaking and all storytelling that propel your novels and screenplays to leap off the page or screen into hearts and minds of readers and viewers.
The class includes interactive instruction, elements of directing, character development, and core story arc essentials. We will also cover audience analysis and the power of subtext to help inform your story decisions.
You will gain great insights for your writing process as Robert teaches about setting up key points of review and developing sequences that will open up fresh possibilities for your story and plot.
After lunch, for those who want to stay, Robert will go over any addition information that may not have been covered in the morning, and he will answer one-on-one questions, or do specific consulting based on the audience in attendance.
