LTUE a Makerspace for the Mind Part 1

LTUE blog Article Written by Bren Laken (“Master Chef”)
“Sous Chefs” Nick Mills, Stephan Fassmann, Dave Doering, Marny Parkin.

Life, The Universe, and Everything (LTUE)

Did you feel that?

Just reading those words and thinking about being there does something to you.

Urges you to see the vision inside you.

Rushes the story of your creative adventure through every vein.

Plays the soundtrack of your success in your ears.

When you’ve truly lived LTUE, you feel it.

Because LTUE is a feast, a makerspace for your mind. It gives you the inspiring ingredients to craft your mind into an innovative and rewarding makerspace of its own.

So how will you make the feast you crave out of LTUE? You’ve tried a lot of recipes, you say. Followed them to a T only to end up with lackluster fare.

There’s something you need to know.

There isn’t a recipe!

Something far better simmers for you at LTUE. A smorgasbord of ways to find and fuel your passion and cook up your own delectable creative cuisine. You have your own experience and skill; your own ingredients and spices that are already part of you just waiting to mix with the ingredients and spices you’ll find in every track and event at the symposium.

In the Chinese movie, This is Not What I Expected, a perfectionist CEO, Lu Jin inspects a hotel he is eyeing for takeover. Utterly dissatisfied with dish after dish provided for him by the hotel’s restaurant, he threatens to leave.

Until.

One last dish arrives.

He catches the scent and his disillusioned eyes startle open. He stares astounded at the dish he knows instantly as Spaghetti alla Strega.

After savoring the first bite, he knowingly smiles and tells the manager he never would’ve thought a talented female chef worked there.

The manager asks how he knew the chef was a woman.

Lu Jin explains through expressions of utter bliss that this is a special Romani dish passed on by the women of the family. He goes on to say how difficult the seasoning is and expresses his awe at the ingredients she dared to replace.

He expounds on the virtues of the chef. We see images of her, Gu Shengnan, creating the dish, hear her saying how Romani women make this aromatic and rich flavored Strega sauce using no exact recipe, the ingredients and amounts differing for each woman.

Gu Shengnan closes her eyes, deeply sensing inspiration.

Lu Jin closes his in rapt pleasure.

Knives fly through tomatoes.

Crimson sauce boils like rapids in a river.

Her fingers parachute spices.

His spoon lifts the ambrosia sauce.

Lu Jin finishes every last morsel, leaving the bowl just-washed clean. He stares in shocked wonder, tears falling down his face.

Gu Shengnan cooks with spirit, with her senses, with her own fire.

She smiles.

You can smile too.

Become the Gu Shengnan of your own creative world. Fill the makerspace in your mind with the spices, ingredients, and knowledge of expert chefs in the makerspace feast of LTUE.

And your Lu Jins will find you.

Uncover the ingredients that are your passion to cook with, simmer them in the makerspace of LTUE and your mind. But don’t just search for those spices in your go-to spots. Explore everything LTUE has to offer and you’ll discover ambrosia in places you never would’ve guessed.

LTUE.

The echoes of possibility. The rhythm of dreams. The thunder of triumph.

LTUE.

This is your powerful makerspace.

Do you feel it now?

And just for you. A menu of LTUE’s cafés to inspire you
